Ad Gate World Major Update

This update is going to be entirely about Ad Gate World. I was on a conference call with a very small group of people and was given permission to talk about several points.

The conference call lasted exactly 1 hour and 25 minutes. The host of the call had a lot of excitement and enthusiasm for the future of Ad Gate World. You could really tell that the concept for this program is much larger than your typical advertising/surf program.

The launch date for this program is still set for the early part of January 2009. During the call it was said that when the Ad Gate World idea was initiated, their biggest concern was getting the technology in place. However, as it turns out, the technology has been their easiest obstacle to overcome. From the beginning they have focused on bringing in very bright people to ensure that Ad Gate World would be fully scalable for all the ideas they have. The real obstacle in bringing Ad Gate World to the public has been the unforeseen difficulty they have experienced with the legal and financial hurdles.

One of the topics that I had several questions about was this Ad Gate Cash concept. A while back Ad Gate World had sent out an email that explained they would have their own form of currency. They got this idea from other online communities such as Second Life.

At first glance, this seems like it adds an unnecessary layer of complexity. However, after listening to the call host explain the reasons for AdGate Cash, it did actually make a lot of sense.

What it ultimately boils down to is this. Let each company do what they do best. What I mean is that Ad Gate World is not in the business of handling money. That is not their area of expertise. Their chosen area of expertise is advertising. The purpose for this AdGate Cash concept is to allow the payment processors to handle the money. After all, that is what they do all day, every day.

The flow of money will work like this. If you want to purchase 1,000 Ad Packs, you will fund your Liberty Reserve account with $1,000. Liberty Reserve will convert your $1,000 into AdGate Cash and transfer that money to Ad Gate World. You can then use your $1,000 worth of AdGate Cash to buy 1,000 Ad Packs. Then of course you will look at ads each day and earn rebates.

At the inception of Ad Gate World, your AdGate Cash will have no value other than purchasing Ad Packs. However, at some point in the future, you will be able to use your AdGate Cash to pay for other products and services with companies that Ad Gate World will be partnering with.

For now, there isn’t really anything to concern yourself with. The only thing you need to do is make sure you have a Liberty Reserve account ready to go. Setting up these kinds of accounts takes time, so make sure you give yourself enough time to get this done.

The next thing I want to talk about is the advertising model that Ad Gate World will be using. In other similar programs in the past, one of the problems with viewing ads each day is that everyone was looking at ads purely at random. There was no rhyme or reason to the ads that any given person would be exposed to. This is obviously not the ideal scenario.

Most of these advertising companies have already realized the value of localized advertising and are implementing that feature into these new programs. We are on the threshold of a 2.0 generation with this whole advertising model.

But Ad Gate World seems to be taking the leadership role in getting the best ads in front of people. They are modeling their ad rotator after Craigslist. The type of advertising that we will be able to view can be highly targeted. Likewise, the audience you can select as the ideal candidate for your own product or service can be highly targeted. This is the ideal scenario.

Imagine that you are a 30 year old person and you are in relatively good physical condition. Are you going to care to see ads about Arthritis pain relief or ads about enjoying your retirement years? Highly unlikely.

Localized and targeted advertising also goes a long way toward legitimizing this entire industry. Any advertising company that wants to be taken seriously will have to adapt to this new way of thinking or they are going to become obsolete in 2009.

Another big concern for people is the whole idea of generating revenue from outside sources. When a company is perceived as paying its existing members with money that is coming from new sign ups, then they are viewed as a ponzi. Ad Gate World will have an auction site which will be used to generate a source of revenue for the company. Think eBay … and think about the BILLIONS of dollars that are generated.

During the call, another example that I heard was Netflix. The Internet is rapidly changing the way people get their media content. Think about the huge impact the iTunes Music Store has had on the music industry. This same shift is happening with TV and movies. If Ad Gate World creates a partnership with a company that can offer music, TV, and movies on demand over the Internet, that is another WORLDWIDE industry that is worth BILLIONS of dollars.

Now here is where it gets really interesting. Remember when we were talking about AdGate Cash? What if you could log on to an Ad Gate World partner site and purchase a copy of a new music CD that just came out and pay for it with AdGate Cash. Now your AdGate Cash has real world value instead of just being some abstract concept with no fundamental use.

Hopefully you can see that there is a lot going into this new program. As I stated at the top, this is not your average advertising/surf opportunity.

Regarding some of the details about the ad packs, I can tell you that the minimum purchase is going to be $25 and the maximum purchase is going to be $10,000 per day. There is no maximum total, so you could buy $10,000 worth of ad packs every day if you were inclined to do so.

You will also be able to re-upgrade your ad packs based on your daily earnings. This is sometimes referred to as compounding. For example, if you have 2,500 ad packs and you earned $25, you could take that $25 and buy 25 new ad packs so that you would earn on 2,525 ad packs the following day. Upgrading ad packs also has the minimum requirement of $25. If you do not earn enough cash in one day to meet the $25 minimum requirement, then you would have to wait until your cash balance reached $25 before you could upgrade.

That pretty much covers everything that I made a note of while on the call. There was some mention of a page called the Ad Gate Finance page but I didn’t completely follow what that was all about. Something about insurance and travel … I’ll get more details on that at some other time.

I hope everyone is as excited about 2009 as I am. Not just for the sake of Ad Gate World, but for the sake of all the great opportunities that are coming to fruition in the coming weeks.

Daily Profit Pond Making Huge changes

The emotions are going to be all over the place on this one. Some people are going to be infuriated, many people will inevitably draw comparisons between MegaLido’s sudden switch and this switch that Daily Profit Pond is doing, other people will be delighted, and some people aren’t going to care at all.

My reaction is simple. This is Good News. Purely from a logical/mathematical (non emotional) point of view, this is good news for Daily Profit Pond. I’ve been reporting for over a week now that their growth has fallen below the “sustainability” rate. I insinuated yesterday that unless Daily Profit Pond had a huge cash reserve sitting around to pay everyone with, then they would run out of money.

Well, I’m glad to see that someone at Daily Profit Pond is paying attention to the accounting. They realize that their liability to their existing members is higher than the cash that is flowing in. You don’t have to be a math expert to realize that when you have more money going out than you have coming in, that you are going to run into cash problems pretty fast.

For the people who are upset by this change, I can understand where you are coming from but you have got to look at the alternative. Would you rather keep earning 12% per day of virtual money that you will NEVER receive? Or would you rather earn 5% per day of money that you will actually be able to cash out?

The choice is obvious.

With Daily Profit Pond’s change, people are now earning about 5% per day for 30 days. This translates to 150% after 30 days. Furthermore, they are changing to a policy where you can only cash out twice per month. As far as I know, the days have not yet been announced but I’m willing to bet it will be the 1st and the 15th of the month.

I ran these new calculations through a spreadsheet I put together. (The calculations are based on a math formula that Joe Hugan told me about. I can create spreadsheets, but I’m not smart enough to have figured out the initial formula.

According to the new calculations, the sustainability index for Daily Profit Pond has gone from 3.78% per day down to 1.62% per day. (And when you factor in the fact that you can only cash out twice per month, the sustain rate is even slightly lower than 1.62%)

The good news is that Daily Profit Pond is currently sustainable at this level. In fact, Daily Profit Pond grew by 1.8% between Wednesday and Thursday which means they are above the sustain rate now. (Whereas if they continued on with the 12% for 12 days, they would be dangerously under their sustain rate for the 9th consecutive day!!)

Bottom line people – this is GOOD NEWS and you need to look at it as such. When talking to other people about this change, when posting on forums, when sending emails, and when talking to your downline, you need to be positive and explain to people why this is GOOD.

There is going to be an inevitable backlash with this change. People want the world handed to them … and those people are going to complain and cry foul. Those of us who understand the positive side of this need to be OUTSPOKEN so we can overshadow the naysayers.

That is all.

With this new change in policy, I am now completely comfortable upgrading in Daily Profit Pond again. However, this doesn’t change the fact that growth will remain an important factor. If their growth completely falls off for some reason, we’ll have to reassess the situation again.
